Workshop of Traditional Music

Instruments and Singing

Developing generally during a week-end, starting on saturday morning.

The experience of a two days intensive course we propose is the best either for beginners 

and advanced students, since they can improve their techniques with the presence of the teacher

to avoid or correct the most common mistakes.

Beginners

 -  Vocal exercises (breathing, phonation, sound pitching, etc.).

   - An example of English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish traditional songs

       Advanced: 

                - Advanced vocal exercises (vocalisms with various difficulties, embellishments)

                    - Some examples of Italian repertory from Renaissance to modern age

(Hurdy-Gurdy, Diatonic Accordion, Bagpipe, Irish Whistle)

Beginners: 

     - First exercises (timing, body setting, etc.) to start to play correctly.

            - First introductory tunes.

           Advanced: 

                            - Advanced exercises (embellishments/ graces)

                                    - Some examples of Italian ancient and traditional repertory.

Each workshops: 12 hours

Saturday and Sunday:   from 10 AM to 12.30 PM

and from 15 to 18.30 PM

At the end of the workshop “singing and playing together” 

with all  the students (singing and instruments).
